Burlington Raceway - May 10th

Did someone do a rain dance!?!?

Knoxville Raceway - May 10th

Rain, Rain, GO AWAY!!

Burlington Raceway - May 9th - IRA

Josh ran his 410 with the IRA series at 34 raceway. He qualified 8th quick! That put him in the back of the 4th heat. The track started to get slick. In the heat race Josh missed the transfer by two spots. He had to run the B-main. He raced with others back and forth for the transfer spot to the A-main for the whole race. When the checkered flags flew, he crossed the finish line in the transfer spot. He made it to the A! Since he qualified 8th, he got his time back when he made it to the A. That meant that he got to start 12th with an invert. The track was really slick by that time. Josh kept his composure and finished with a good run of 16th place. The next race will be at Jacksonville, IL on May 16th with the SIA.

Knoxville Raceway - 410 - World of Outlaws

The 49 Team's first 410 experience was definitely an exciting one. The team raced against the Outlaws the first night of Knoxville's weekly program.  There was a little chill in the air, but the entire team was pumped up for the big debut.  Josh went out 17th in qualifying and put down a lap of 15.556, timing in 32nd fast out of 47 cars, not the best run, but the team was excited as they had timed in front of many of the regular Knoxville Competitors.  Josh started outside of row 4 in the fourth Heat Race, behind one of his all time favorites Steve Kinser.  The 49 car held their own as they would run a strong 7th place.  As the night moved on the team continued to fine tune the car (I swear each of them had a smile the size of Texas and glowed with excitement). Josh would start the B-Main in the 12th position.  He would due battle with some great race cars throughout the entire race and finished a respectable 10th.  The Team was very excited about their finish and learned a lot about 410 racing with the Outlaws. The 49 Team plans to race in the IRA show at 34 Raceway on May 9th and then head back to Knoxville, May 10th for the IRA-Knoxville Challenge. Jarrod will be racing at 34 Raceway on May 10th, with his 305.  MAKE SURE YOU DON'T MISS THE ACTION!!!!

Burlington - 305 - April 26th

Josh took his 410 out and hot lapped it to see how the motor ran since he hadn't got to run it yet. Jarrod had his 305 out there. He did awesome. In the heat race, he kept it straight and smooth. In the A, Jarrod went around the track like he had been racing for many years. He ended up getting 7th in the A-main!

Rained Out!!

Opening Night at Burlington - April 19th

The rain couldn't stop Burlington from racing! John started on the pole in the 3rd heat and won. That put him in the fast car dash. Josh started inside row 3 in the 4th heat. Some cars didn't make the call so he moved up to outside row 2. He won his heat race and moved on to the fast car dash. Jarrod started at the tail in the 4th heat and kept his composure. He finished 6th. John finished 2nd in the fast car dash while Josh finished 4th. Jarrod had to run the B-main and he finished 10th. He did real well for his first full night out. Josh started 6th in the A-main. John started 4th. Josh ran out of tear-offs, so he had to use his hand to remove the mud from his shield during the race. He did real well with a 9th place finish. John battled the whole race with Matt Rogerson for the lead. They put on a good show, but Matt crossed the finish line first to take the checkered flags. John ended with a 2nd place finish.
