The Deuce Racing Team is just that… a team effort that has been going strong for over seventeen years. In fact, Bart’s children Josh, Jarrod and Janelle were all born since he began racing, and now, serve as essential members of the pit crew. There dedication to the safety and precision of the cars is amazing.

In addition to piloting the #49 car, Josh, who prides himself in his attention to detail, has proven himself to be an invaluable asset to the team. He and Bart spend many hours strategizing and analyzing racing results to determine what change should be made to the setup of the car. Josh has been traveling with the team into the pits full time and was crowned the unofficial “Crew Chief” for his efforts.

Bart retired from racing. Well, from racing the car that is. Not from racing itself. He still pit crews for both of his cars. He loves racing and plans to do it for quite some time.

Jarrod wrenches for the #2 & #49 car and can hold his own with any other crew member, sometimes outlasting the older guys stamina throughout the night. Don’t let his laid-back attitude fool you, this young man knows his way around a race car! This year you will see him in the #88 305 sprint car that will run mostly at 34 Raceway.

Drew Bergquist joined the pit crew for the #49 & the #2 car in the 2007 season. He is back on board for the 2008 season. He is a friend of Joshua's. He keeps the 49 and the 2 running at all of the races.

Darren Grimshaw considers the Deuce Racing “shop” his home away from home. Day or night, Darren lends his brains and brawn to the team efforts. Darren’s wife, Kim, wasn’t a big race fan, until she developed an interest in sprint cars. Now she can be heard cheering in the grandstands along with the other Deuce Racing fans.

Jeff Dean also joined the pit crew for the 2007 season. He is a friend of Joshua's. He has been going to races for years and has decided to begin wrenching. Jeff has become a valuable part of the 49 team helping in the shop and at the race track.

Doug Beaird follows the team throughout the season, he has become a tremendous asset to the team and enjoys the details of setting up the car just as much as watching the action on the track.  Doug's wife, Mary and their children love to attend the races as well.

Cale Riley has joined the pit crew to help with the #49 car. He is a long time friend of the family and has been helping out for many years. He attends SCC.

Chris Clements is another valued member of the Team. He and his wife Brenda share a common love for sprint racing. Chris says the variety of details surrounding the dynamics of racing have fascinated him all his life. His children, Tyler and Paige, also enjoy going to watch the races.

Dan "Cookie" Cook is a long-time friend of the Schulz family and was adopted into the Deuce Racing family when John began piloting the #2.

Sharon Crawford has been a friend of the family for many years. She grew tired of just hearing about the races and decided to get involved. Whether it’s scraping mud, preparing safety gear, or cooking up a storm at the post racing barbecues, Sharon is right at home.

Throughout the years there have been many dedicated friends who have spent hours in the garage and at the track helping the team. We will always be grateful to Galen “Shep” Shepherd and his wife, Linda, who were there in the beginning and continue to be a part of the Deuce Racing family.
